Product Description

Meet Kalibon (said Kah-lee-bon). Aka Kali.

He is a Greek Taraxippus.

In olden times the Taraxippoi (plural), also dubbed “horse-disturbers” were thought to be ghosts and were often blamed for frightening horses during a horse/chariot race.  The term Taraxippus was also used to define haunted locations or locations that gave off a bad vibe.

In modern times, it was discovered that Taraxippoi were not ghosts. They are living entities. For whatever reason, animals, especially those considered to be livestock or farm animals seem to be more sensitive to the Taraxippoi. To our collective knowledge, they have never tried to frighten animals of any kind on purpose.

Anyone who works with these creatures will come to realize that, though they are vicious and often physical protectors, they would never harm an animal.

As modern day practitioners began to study the Taraxippoi and how they got their notorious history it was discovered that the many of the locations that were thought to be haunted by the Taraxippoi were treacherous or holy places. The tracks that were thought to be stalked by the “ghosts” bore sharp curves which would have been dangerous and difficult to maneuver for a fast moving horse and chariot.

It is now thought that these locations were given a supernatural connection as a warning and the poor Taraxippoi got thrown into the mix as the final “HA” perse.

The Taraxippoi are actually a race of nature entities. They do have a deep connection to animals and as I said above, especially livestock.

These entities are rare and extremely hard to befriend. For hundreds of years they were persecuted and abused by magickal people. Many of the old Taraxippoi can tell you stories of being trapped, bound and contained against their will.

It is because of this that most practitioners of today leave them alone. They can lash out when they feel threatened.

All of that said, there are exceptions, though as few as they may be.

Kali is a personal companion that MM purchased from our friend Falyon.

Kali's abilities are quite diverse.

He can give warnings pertaining to trouble, danger or illness (you, your family and animals)

He can protect and will possibly attack people, entities or spirits that intend to cause you, your family or your animals harm.

He has minor healing abilities - especially when it comes to wounds

His other specialties include:

Courage

Promoting solid, lasting relationships

Connection and communication

Connection with your animals and beloved pets

Compassion and understanding

An understanding of your peers

Necromancy (connection to and communicating with the deceased)

Their abilities are kind of a mixture of psychic and personal.

For offerings, this breed likes anything from nature but especially have an attachment to trees and dirt.

The Taraxippoi as a breed are quiet natured entities. They are very easy going and yet at the same time, they are always looking ahead for possible interference.

They tend to be highly intelligent, broad-minded creatures.

Kali is definitely an intelligent being. For those who are gifted telepathics, he can conversate for hours about anything and everything. He has an extremely curious nature about him and what you know, he wants to know. He loves experiencing life.

His vessel is one of MM's classic choices. It is highly ornate and interesting, as her personal vessels always are.
